Theresa Park has over a decade of experience as an economic development professional. Theresa is Director of Economic Development in the Division of Planning and Development for the City of Lowell. She plans and implements the overall economic development strategy for the city, including conducting business retention and recruitment efforts to promote economic diversification and job growth. Prior to coming to Lowell, Theresa was the principal planner working on economic development and telecommunications for the City of Newton and worked for many years in Cambridge as program manager for the Cambridge Business Assistance Center and economic development planner for the city of Cambridge Community Development Department. She holds a masterís degree in Urban and Regional Planning from The George Washington University and a bachelorís degree in Business Finance from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She is a resident of downtown Lowell and is engaged civically through service on the boards of the Cultural Organization of Lowell, Greater Lowell Workforce Investment Board, Girls, Inc. of Greater Lowell, the Acre Family Day Care and the Textile Museum. When not working, she enjoys globe trotting around the world and has traveled in over 30 countries.
